The lyrics were written by Shah Abdul Karim (1916-2009); a Baul #singer and #player of the #ektara, and a prolific #composer. He wrote over 1600 songs! The Baul are #Bengali itinerant singers of religious songs, primarily #Sufism, #Vaishnavism and #Tantrism, but often combine elements of these.
