Yesterday I wrapped up my time in the library at #EIU - or at least I'm officially done at the office. So although I have plenty of work to do - a conference paper looming, research to start pounding at, a new course prep for both fall and spring - I'm trying to take today a bit easy. On the agenda:

Internet will *finally* be installed at the new house today.

Going to start a garden/plant/tree inventory... So some walking around the house and asking, "What's that?"

Possibly cutting boards for raised beds we'd like to get in this week and sourcing fill for the raised beds...

Oh no, the to-do list is growing already, I can feel it!

Friday night we attended a showing of the silent *Phantom of the Opera* with live orchestration from the university symphony at #EIU -- and we enjoyed it so much that last night, we continued with older #horror / suspense films: *House on Haunted Hill* and *House of Wax*.

Did reviewers of those mid-century horror offerings "get" the camp and the humor? With #HouseOfWax in particular it seems so obvious, but this wikipedia entry suggests that critics either didn't get it or were *not* having it.
