Running 6x1km #EIM + eating 5x1 home-made crêpes as recovery.
A perfect section for the #EIM 400m intervals.

Replaced a few #EIM interval sessions with easy runs this week. I'm surprised how different and sustainable this feels.
A total of 85km (#running and walking).
Today's #EIM session: 4x1km @ 5'45 min/km pace.
That's about 6km of easy jogging (warmup + recovery between intervals) plus 4km of fast running. 5'45 being the fast part... 😂

Has any tried or have opinions about the Easy Interval Method?

@frescosecco and I had a chat yesterday about his experience with #EIM. He's new to it but likes it.

I'm interested as a way to train for half marathons. The attraction is the author's claim that lower mileage but more sub-threshold intervals reduces injuries.

There's a negative review here, followed by a great deal of pushback:

Easy Interval Method

@MarvinFreeman I use a basic 10k plan, but without the races or hard sessions on the weekend for now. I enjoy it tremendously, developing fitness and incremental speed simultaneously. #EIM
@MarvinFreeman I'm a new runner (about 6 months in), and I have done #EIM from the beginning. I still often do smaller sessions, not the full standard sessions, or I mix things up a bit. (like 3x1km + 5x200m). The method is actually quite flexible and adapts to the number of days per week you want to run. The book has example training plans from 800m to a marathon. It has a 13-week half-marathon training plan in variants from 3 to 8 training sessions per week.

@frescosecco Have you been doing #EIM for long? I'm very interested in giving it a try for a half marathon, but the focus seems to be on shorter distances.

If you have time, I'd be interested in hearing about your experience with it.

Went back to #EIM intervals today, but I'm a bit unclear what the correct paces should be by now. So I either have to do a 10k time trial (to see where I stand in the EIM intervals table) or a 30-minute all-out run to have a lactate threshold. I'm a bit afraid of both :)

Did my first full #EIM session in the park today (15x200m). This would have killed me 3 months ago :)
