Weekend tech #shenanigans update:

1) I was able to force update my media server to #Ubuntu 25.10.
Once the new #LTS drops I will switch and stay on that.

2) On the #Ebox I tried out a few distros before landing on @opensuse #Kalpa. Besides a few instances of screen flickering when tweaking widgets, it has been working fine

The switcheroo went well. The #macbook is running well and fully functional (webcam and wifi) on #OpenSUSE #Slowroll.

The #Ebox is running fantastically well on #UltramarineLinux.

So overall, it has been a pretty good night. Oh, and I switched the kiddo's lappy over to #Cinnamon. He likes a more Windows 10 setup.

Now with the #ebox running #UltraMarineLinux, it is running smoother and faster than the previous #distros that I have tested out. I was even able to get some more point and click Steam games to work than before. Here is a lil theming I did.

I think I might to a #distro switcharoo and move #OpenSuse #Slowroll onto the #macbook and move #UltraMarineLinux to the #ebox.

I wanna test out Slowroll on a bit more “beefier” cpu.

I am slowly but surely turning the lil #ebox running #OpenSUSE #Slowroll into a 2D/pixel art #PointAndClick "powerhouse."

After some tech shenanigans and, lets be honest, tech let downs I decided to slow my roll; take a deep breathe and dig deep inside for the perfect #distro to put on the #ebox. In this moment of clarity I think I found the ideal distro: #OpenSUSE #Slowroll.

This long weekend’s #shenanigans with tech outcomes:

1) Nuked the install on the #OrangePiRV2. Seems like it did mot like my poor attempt in switching it over from #Ubuntu to #Debian via sources.list

2) Installed #BredOS on the Opi RV2- it’s okay; super limited repos and graphical issues.

3) On the #orangepizero2w I have switched the DE over to #Trinity from #XFCE. It is now running smoother.

4) #Ebox is updated and running #Q4OS. Was able to get #Steam installed for some light gaming. #Retrodeck was alos installed for some #RetroGaming

While working on the #ebox, I was also toying around with the #orangepizero2w. After some tweaking, purging, and updating, I know have the Opi running #Debian #Trixie with the @tde Trinity desktop environment. It's running pretty snappy for most things; web browsing is really the only exception.
