翻到「Running TidesDB as a MySQL 9.7 storage engine」這篇在想說這個版本很陌生,去維基百科上面查才發現原來 MySQL 8.0 LTS 版本上個月已經終止支援了: 目前的兩個 LTS 版是 8.4 與 9.7,看起來都還有一段日子,8.4 會到 2032/04,而 9.

Finally someone other than me explains the term "LTS" or "stable" in comparison to "rolling releases" in a serious manner:

> "In other words, the bugs [in a rolling release] are unstable, unlike in an LTS OS where the bugs are stable."

> "NOT promised:
> - Lack of bugs
> - Lack of crashes
> - Fixes for non-security issues [or fixes overall]
> - Personal support for issues you encounter"

In a LTS release the version numbers and the bugs are stable, but not the software usage. In Debian especially this is true for the KDE stack which is really buggy in my experience. 😰

Using #solus plasma I noticed that a stable experience and updates can be accomplished at the same time.

Starting 25.10 Ubuntu (Gnome) installer could install alongside Windows even with Bitlocker ON, if there is a freespace already. But today when I installed 26.04, there was no Grub installed in EFI
