Ellie‽ (Radio Edit)Currently listening to Geoff Barrow and Ben Salisbury's album Drokk: Music Inspired By Mega-City One (I saw this morning that apparently 'Drokk' is the band name?). Great album, and as the legend goes, started off as the score to the excellent Dredd. I love the score that was in the final movie too, but a version of the movie with this as the score would be interesting.
So yeah, I'm now on to Geoff Barrow & Ben Salisbury's Dredd soundtrack that never was, 'Drokk (Music Inspired By Mega-City One)'. It's a very different vibe to the Dredd soundtrack we finally got; where that one is all grungy guitars and quite industrial sounding, this is Carpenter-esque vintage synths. They both have the same kind of extremely stretched sounds forming parts of the albums so I guess the slo-mo thing was in the script early on in Dredd's production.
