Dieser Film ist ein Schmerztagebuch, genau darüber. Graue Anzüge, Neonlicht und abgerissene Casinos sind keine Kulisse einer Verführung. Das ist kein Kino, das etwa populär sein will. Anika is the debut studio album by British/German recording artist Anika. It was released on 25 October 2010 by Invada Records in Europe and on 15 November 2010, by Stones Throw Records in the United States. The three members of the band Beak (Geoff Barrow, Billy Fuller and Matt Williams) produced the album.
Before she began her singing career, Anika was a political journalist who spent her time between Berlin and Bristol, England. She met producer Geoff Barrow (of Portishead), who was looking for a female vocalist to work with his band Beak...
The album received generally favorable reviews. Ended Wednesday and started Thursday with Ex Machina (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) is the score album to the 2015 film of the same name. Composed and produced by Ben Salisbury and Geoff Barrow of Portishead, the film marked their first feature film scoring stint, after the soundtrack for the initial temp score to the 2012 film Dredd, was not accepted by the directors, and then released into a standalone album titled Drokk. Garland then roped the duo for Ex Machina.
The scoring process lasted for ten months, in which Salisbury and Barrow wanted a "human approach to the android robot Ava" using organic and real sounds. The instrumentation consisted of mostly real instruments and not considered orchestral or synth-heavy music. These organic instruments were blended into the electronic ones, producing a "minimalist, highly tense mix of beauty and discomfort" - Wikipedia

Currently listening to Geoff Barrow and Ben Salisbury's album Drokk: Music Inspired By Mega-City One (I saw this morning that apparently 'Drokk' is the band name?). Great album, and as the legend goes, started off as the score to the excellent Dredd. I love the score that was in the final movie too, but a version of the movie with this as the score would be interesting.
