Having witnessed several friends I knew from #VRChat suddenly pass away without warning, it made me think about #DigitalInheritance and the severe lack of native systems for handling cases like this.

If something happens to me, what would happen to my home world, my avatars, my groups and all the things which I created and which only I currently have unlimited access to.

What if I want my friends to have something to remember me by which goes beyond screenshots and fading memories?

I mean... sure. At some point you probably have to let go and move on. And I don't really know if preserving things I made would make it easier or more difficult for the ones I leave behind.

But the thought of having all the little contributions I made to other people's lives just disappear as bills are no longer being paid and platforms are purging unused data off their systems feels rather disheartening to me.

I think this topic needs more attention than it is currently getting.

Intent should outlive interaction.
