I have this old bottle of foul-smelling Pro-art India ink that I hadn't opened in years until this morning. The pigment has separated from the gluey substance it's suspended in, and shaking doesn't help. It goes on like syrup, and dries with a sickly mostly translucent gloss, and is generally awful and demoralizing to draw with.

The prompt was sprout.
