I wish the poem "America wakes me in the middle of the night" by Andrea Gibson didn't feel so realistic. Some of the events mentioned in it have happened. Some of them haven't, but I wouldn't be surprised to see any of them in the news tomorrow. That's what really depresses me. Not that the past has happened, but that I can read the future by studying the past.
