Something to keep in mind with #SolarPunk is that #SustainableDevelopment tends not to look like towering sky-scrapers with a few trees growing on their side, but rather starts with smart land-use. Car-dependent #SuburbanSprawl is not smart land-use and is not #sustainable, it's a waste of #ArableLand.

I have also read about housing studies down in the US comparing different cities and cost of housing and supply in each. Lots of supply is the key determiner for reduced housing costs. #Vancouver and actually #BC cities all need to #densify #YYC I am also looking at you. If the choice is homelessness and risk of homelessness or lovely 3-4 story (or more) density, I am going to pick #density every single time.

We don't need centrally set, largely guesswork or even vested interest based, #housing #targets spread around the #uk

We do need a functioning market in "locations" where people want to be.

We can #AbolishTaxes and #ShareTheRents of #land to achieve a market in locations, #Densify where there is demand and #SuperchargeTheEconomy.

And detoxify the political #NIMBY vs #YIMBY conflict.
