It's one of those sci-fi or fantasy based films, in which a kid or younger person is cast as a hero or cohort, that just appeals to me, much like:

None of which are great movies from a film making POV but are movies that I find very entertaining nonetheless.
In another thread[0] I was reminded that this metal song about Blaine the Train from Stephen King's Dark Tower exists and it's been an earworm for hours now so I'm making it your problem now.
