I’m currently trying to read the first #darktower by #stephenking. By “trying,” I mean I keep forgetting to pick it up and wondering why it reads like a 20-year-old trying to be edgy. Then I realize it actually was written by a twenty-something King.
In the foreword, King himself even warns the reader that this isn’t something he would write the same way today.
So now I’m wondering whether I should just skip to another Dark Tower book or switch to a completely different King novel.

I ❤️ the #DarkTower (2017).

It's one of those sci-fi or fantasy based films, in which a kid or younger person is cast as a hero or cohort, that just appeals to me, much like:

#EndersGame (2013)
#TheLastAirBender (2011)
#SorcerersApprentice (2010)
#BulletProofMonk (2003)
#TheForbiddenKingdom (2008)

None of which are great movies from a film making POV but are movies that I find very entertaining nonetheless.
