@Kon in #Australia I see your comment and agree. Stepping back,, #lockdowns were hard for people for different reasons as nations around the world and #NewZealand were in a crisis

I can empathise with people who are frustrated at whoever leads them through crisis — in some kind of cognitive attempt to put that time in an envelope and seal it

That said, here in #Victoria Australia — we had #DanAndrews and the #DanSlide 2.0, so there's more who respect hard choices in challenged times

#Auspol
It was only a week or so ago that the #ABC hyped up its (must watch) coverage of the Victorian elections all as it played along with the Murdoch Costello & Stokes BS hype that "The Vic election were on a knife edge" blah blah, so why now the deafening silence on the actual results being that the Vic ALP didn't lose a seat & may actually gain one.
If the last election was called a #DanSlide why the silence on this #DanSlide2 ??

And there you go for #vicvotes, ALP claims Bass, securing 56 seats, one more than the #danslide of 2018 (is it a danslam now? Or a guydrop?)

https://www.abc.net.au/news/2022-12-09/bass-labor-jordan-crugnale-lower-house-victorian-election/101756968

I hope there's going to be some navel gazing out of the media (both mainstream and not) regarding the amount of gaslighting they were pushing onto the Victorian (and Australian) public about this election. They got it not just wrong but hugely, incredibly, ridiculously wrong.

Labor wins its 56th seat as Jordan Crugnale claims Bass, the last lower house seat to be called in the Victorian election

Jordan Crugnale claims victory in Bass, delivering Labor its 56th seat and finalising the lower house results in the Victorian election.

ABC News

Labor has matched the 55 seats it won at the Victorian #Danslide election 4 years ago & could go 1 better if the final contest falls its way.

Pakenham was added to Labor’s tally on Thursday afternoon after final preference distributions.

It will better that result if it adds Bass, where Labor’s Jordan Crugnale leads the Liberals’ Aaron Brown by 211 votes.

The Victorian Electoral Commission confirmed preference distributions for Bass would be finalised & published today #auspol

Labor on track to win more seats than in 2018 ‘Danslide’

The party is expected to win 56 seats – one more than the 55 in 2018, which was viewed by political insiders and analysts as a high-water mark that would be nearly impossible to replicate.

The Age
#Danslide has been followed by an excellent sequel #Danslide2. Now that the racist pig John Prociutto (a deliberate pork reference) has taken on the role of the hero`s nemesis, #Danslide3 will be a terrific next instalment. #auspol

Vic Election Update from @stranger
From fowlsite..@strangerous10

Labor has secured 53 seats so far
(2018 #DanSlide had 55 seats)

With 4 seats still in doubt, Labor looking very likely in at least 2 of the 4, maybe 3. Will finish with 55 or 56

#Danslide2 2022 to match or beat the 2018 result

#vicvotes #springst And the pay back, back stabbing, blame shifting, insults, finger pointing, name calling and shameless self promotion is in full swing in #VicLibs This is fun. Big shout out to the stenographers, #RWNJs and muck throwers in #Newscorpse - #Labor thanks you and I thank you. ☺️ #Danslide

‘We insult people’s intelligence’: The Liberal Party recriminations begin — The Age

Old, elite, out of touch, poorly organised, unpopular and devoid of fresh ideas. The criticisms of the Liberal Party after its election loss have just begun, and the harshest come from within the party itself.
