And I love that both usages of #ContentWarnings are valid here. So, yeah, #ContentWarningsRock
I just realized that content warnings also wrap any replies to the CW toot, and this is a glorious bit of UX, thank you to whoever designed it. #mastodonux #contentwarnings #contentwarningsrock

⚠️ If you’re posting any TV, movie, book, or video game spoilers, PLEASE use a Content Warning! Unlike some other social networks that don’t have Content Warnings, we can show kindness to others by not spoiling their fun.

By Jove I think I’ve got it! 😆#ContentWarningsRock
I see many posts (esp on Twitter) of people complaining about CWs for BIPOC sharing experiences w/ racism. As a BIPOC, I can say that I infinitely appreciate the CW! Many of those stories are triggering for me, so being able to choose what I read is really empowering. I feel safer in Mastodon precisely because there is not a privileged expectation that I have to read what you post regardless of my feelings. #TwitterMigration #bipoc #mastodonnewbie #ContentWarningsRock

This site is all about making sure that, if you consent and choose, the information you consume is precisely what you want.

It's not a firehose of doom and hate, unless you arrange it so! It's what you choose it to be.

It uses metadata in these ways:

1. # s. These are information about the information in your post.

2. CWs. These are information about the potentially sensitive information in your post.

Curate! Please!

I ❤️ CWs! Such a time saver! #ContentWarnings #ContentWarningsRock

A telling thing about imo quite obviously reactionary anti-CW sentiments shared by far too many of my own Twitter newcomers cohort — people who I find otherwise generally considerate — is this notion that imposing engagement with one's too-important-for-consent content on here is a bedrock necessity at odds with overly frail sensibilities of existing community.

Yet it's trivial for people to offer blanket consent for such imposition.

@chrischirp me too but I see a few posts appearing from Political Parties punting usual stuff which quite frankly I want to escape from.
#ContentWarningsRock #contentfiltering is one of the best bits of this app.
@david_orr @Jlfphoto ahhh got it.
On Android it's an exclamation mark in a circle.
So essentially if you're a political party or organisation please use the CW!
