I seriously don't understand why anyone would EVER think I'd side with any corporations or governments - over fighting for the working class people!

I'm a #CopPuncher & spent 36 hrs in jail for punching racist cop in the eyeballs.

I would never fight for fucking corrupt bosses/governments. I would definitely rip the fucking living skins off of people trying to dehumanize & justify abuses on underpaid workers.

Come meet Kofi -- a Collard Green #seed with a beautiful story to tell!

In our children’s book Kofi and the Seed Seekers, Froggie, Toto, and Donkey meet Kofi, who tells them about the journey of #CollardGreens from the West Coast of #Africa to #TurtleIsland , and why this plant is so important for culture and history.

We are inviting you to help us make this story come alive!

What will happen?
Meet Razan the Illustrator of this beautiful book and let's help her to refine the concept. We'll do that with the following activities:

Let's read the book together.
Share your memories about food, plants, and cooking.
Talk about what reminds you of home and what your elders or relatives taught you about land and food.

#ArtMaking
Help design Kofi’s friends -- Froggie, Toto, and Donkey.
Create drawings, paintings, and collages inspired by your food stories.

Place your food or spice on a big map.
Show where it comes from and how it connects to your life today.

Your stories, memories, and art will help shape the Kofi and the Seed Seekers book and our #documentary. Together, we will celebrate food, #migration , and the wisdom of our #cultures.

Language: This event will be delivered in English.
Stroller & wheelchair friendly access. Gymnasium doors will be both left wide open.
Kids must be accompanied & supervised by parent/guardian.

Photos and videos may be taken, if you wouldn't like your photos taken, please let the photographer know. We'll have some processes in place.

Food and Beverage:
Come prepared to indulge in delicious and beautifully presented dishes that evoke the flavors and memories of our homelands. Enjoy complimentary tea and refreshing drinks while you savor the experience.

this is why the #DemocraticParty has failed us all, especially under the forked tongues and interests of Chuck Schumer and Nancy Pelosi in Congress. they handwaved #MAGA as a secessionist movement. now #GOP #Republicans shred the US constitution, using their National Guards against Americans in Washington DC, a city-territory with an African-American mayor and a mostly #BIPOC population.

You know most companies, institutions & governments will take years to even admit that #SystematicRacism exists. Then, they all say that they're going to work at making important changes to stop it. Then, they often turn around & hunt for some #BIPOC to tokenize/exploit for PR. Then, they go back to not changing much at all. The systematic racism keeps going.

I've yet to meet a fellow #BIPOC offline who haven't been #tokenized at least once. I've had it happen multiple times, from childhood to middle age. It's always left me feeling yucky.

#Hopscotch is universal. #Girls around the world trace squares on the ground, then hop through them, trying hard to reach the end. Girls share other interests too; they all like to talk about school, what they want to be when they grow up, who they will marry, how many children they will have, their hopes for a better life for themselves and their family.

But all too often, through poverty, perversion, spite, ignorance or superstition, adults shatter these dreams by denying girls the right to an education, entering them into forced labour, subjecting them to mutilation, sexual abuse and other injustices.

Soni, Kamlesh, Mou, Yui, Dalal, Esmeralda, Fatou, Adiaratou, Safi and Maude range in age from 8 to 14. Some are frail, some strong; all are beautiful. Whether they live in #India #Thailand #Yemen #Peru #BurkinaFaso or #Haiti , they all speak of having much of their #childhood stolen from them. Because they are girls. With subtitles.
