Antes de que 𝖯𝗈𝗐𝖾𝗋𝖯𝗈𝗂𝗇𝗍 dominara las presentaciones, en 𝗠𝗮𝗰𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗼𝘀𝗵 existió 𝐌𝐎𝐑𝐄: una aplicación creada por 𝐷𝑎𝑣𝑒 𝑊𝑖𝑛𝑒𝑟 y 𝘓𝘪𝘷𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘝𝘪𝘥𝘦𝘰𝘵𝘦𝘹𝘵 en 1986.

𝐌𝐎𝐑𝐄 nació como un outliner, una herramienta para organizar ideas en estructuras jerárquicas: temas, subtemas, notas, borradores y bloques de pensamiento que podían moverse, agruparse o reorganizarse con facilidad.

A pretty clean keyboard layout... but having Return and Enter separate is quite interesting. Does pressing one or the other guarantee a newline in fields where pressing Return "submits"? #ClassicMacOS #retrocomputing

@rl_dane If I wanted to make an OS, what would you think I should use as a basis for a UI?
Do you have a link to an emulator of your favorite OS, UI-wise? I know there's that one Mac OS X system you harp on, but that's probably a bit complicated.
Every time I spend some time playing around with #ClassicMacOS , I end up refreshed (thanks for the System 1.0 link above). Elegant.

@wyatt Apple II, Apple IIGS, and Macintosh stuff pre-OS X also uses carriage return ($0D) as a newline.

well that wasn't hard after the work to get 7.1.x booting. system 7.0 predates enablers, so patching the boot2/boot3 resources in from 7.1 gets it to boot with the enabler

well, I think it’s more or less OK to release. you may have issues on your hardware, but these patched TBXIs at least try to boot whatever you throw at it, 7.5 onwards up to whatever it’s supposed to boot…

very hacky and your mileage may vary, but now you too can try to boot 7.5 or 7.6 or 8.1 on stuff that wasn’t ever meant to run it, without it instantly crashing due to its boot wanting some function or interface that got stripped out the tree…
