Do any of my photographer friends use a Cinebloom filter? I've seen it mentioned in a couple of blog posts lately, and am considering one. It would pair nicely with many film simulations, especially for portraits.

Diffusion filters are nothing new. Photographers used to apply petroleum jelly to filters for a similar look, but Cinebloom seems to be well-regarded (and less messy than Vaseline). #Cinebloom
