Excited to share our new paper: “It’s like a rubber duck that talks back”: Understanding Generative AI-Assisted Data Analysis Workflows through a Participatory Prompting Study. We investigated how data analysis workflows can be assisted or impaired by generative AI, which include benefits to the information foraging and sensemaking loops of data analysis.

i feel so out of my depth in this talk, in terms of methods and the cultures being studied. but it seems really interesting as an opportunity to view implicit socioculutral groups in e.g. the UK from insights gained from patterns identified from a more explicit caste structure. #chiwork

Next was a very important talk from Alarith Uhde at #CHIWORK on developing systems to help with shift planning in a #healthcare setting. This is such an important issue and application area, with lots of tech being thrown at the problem. Uhde's work is well thought out and essential for the #FutureOfWork in nearly every industry. The conversation here is focused on #PeriodTracking, which in the US especially has become particularly sensitive.
