Generative AI is everywhere. When should we acknowledge when we use it? How can we do that in ways that go beyond "I used AI"? At CHIWORK 2025, my colleagues hosted a workshop exploring these issues of AI disclosure, ownership, and accountability. Check it out!

👩‍💻 + 🤖 = ⁉️ The impact of an AI coding assistant on developer productivity is nuanced and can't be boiled down to a single metric. I'll be presenting our work examining the impact of IBM's watsonx Code Assistant on the developer experience at #CHI2025 in "Lessons Learned from Real Experience". Check it out!

We just published a new article from Kush Varshney on Decolonial AI Alignment. He argues that LLMs need not engage in a coloniality of knowledge by treating one culture's ethics or moral philosophy (usually Western) as universally correct. Instead, we should not assume that values are universal and create open LLMs that can be aligned to value systems from different epistomologies. 🌍🤖 #ai #hcai #alignment
