Back in 2020 I created an interactive online periodic table displaying all the elements from hydrogen to oganesson. I don't do much web development these days and don't have time to develop it further so if anyone with the necessary HTML/CSS/JavaScript skills wants to tinker with it they are welcome to fork the GitHub repository https://github.com/CodeDrome/interactive-periodic-table-javascript

The project is live at:

And here is the tube of nitrogen. Very brightly purple!

My partner got this gas tube kit as part of a Kickstarter. The gas in each tube is being electrically excited, causing each to release light at specific wavelengths. "Ne" for neon in the middle might look familiar here.

All the noble gases are in series (xenon, krypton, argon, neon, helium) with hydrogen gas at the end.

This is fun! I have a (sealed) sample of bromine, one of the halogen elements. Bromine is one of the few elements that are liquid at room temperature. After showing it to a friend, I put it in the freezer so more of the vapors would condense (while a liquid, it is volatile), but forgot about it until this morning.

Pulled it out today and it had solidified into these colorful solid bromine crystals! It freezes below −7.2 °C (19 °F).
