Reminds me of lugging my beloved-but-quite-long-in-the-tooth 2008 Macbook around to school in 2014, AND the charger, because the #CCFL backlight caused it to only get 4 hours of battery life, even when I put in an SSD replacement for the internal spinny disk.
Man, those macbooks were a dream to work on, compared to the modern crap.
- Battery came out using a coin or spudger. The bottom corner of the case of the laptop WAS the battery.
- HDD slid out in its tray, IIRC. Maybe required a couple screws, I forget.
- RAM door opened with 2-3 captive screws, standard heads

That's how #CCFL (carris.pt) works if you pay with cash or (where available) bank card: one ticket per vehicle (tram or bus) or one round trip (funiculars, elevator), that's also how the new Lisbon metropolitan bus operation works. Quite stupid in that they could have used that new operation to introduce at least tickets that could be used on more than one vehicle, if not on all operators...

Приветствую, Хабр! Снова хочу предложить Вашему вниманию статью по ремонту электроники. Несколько лет назад знакомый попросил меня отремонтировать подсветку информационного дисплея на Mitsubishi L200. Позже он пересел на Pajero Sport II и вернулся с той же проблемой уже на этом автомобиле. В прошлый раз я забыл сделать для себя пометки по ремонту и пришлось разбираться заново. Идея замены ламп CCFL на светодиоды лежит на поверхности, и я уже не раз менял подсветку таким образом в стареньких, но еще вполне приличных, телевизорах и мониторах. Сделаем это!
