- Unexpectedly ran into a former colleague and his aunt. Had a delightful dinner with them at an Indian restaurant. I enjoyed my tarka dal and rice.

- Bought a pair of inexpensive comfortable shoes that do not look as if they have been made from old car tyres. Feet are in heaven!

- Enjoyed the "Ten Preludes for Piano" by Mexican composer Carlos Chavez. I'd never heard them before.
