I crossed over the thousand mile mark this weekend with two really nice road bike rides reaching 1003 miles for 2025. It was fortunate that we had nice weather over the weekend.

Left: This is a nice mostly flat 23 mile round trip road bike route we did on Saturday from Capitola (CA) to Wilder Ranch State Park and passing through Santa Cruz and along the Beach Boardwalk amusement park.

Right: Sunday’s ride was a hill test on this 14 mile round trip road bike route from Aptos to Manresa State Beach on Sunday.

Beautiful Saturday Bike Ride

We did a leisurely road bike ride this morning on a beautiful Monterey Bay Saturday.

The photo on the left is from the esplanade at Capitola CA beach looking northwest across the rebuilt Capitola Pier toward Pleasure Point beyond. Part of the Capitola Village is on the right.

The photo on the right is from New Brighton State Beach around 2 miles to the south looking northwest toward Capitola and Pleasure Point.
