E. C. BigribsSo yesterday's event worked out to exactly 180 miles over 7 hours, plus about 180 miles each way getting there and back. I left the house at 5:45am and got back at 8pm. Helped fix some flats. Smiled, chatted, relayed messages, used the radio twice, got rained on a lot, stayed mostly dry.
Did I have fun? I guess, mostly, sure. The event was fun. the trip home… I was not well-rested to begin with, and after the event, the last 90 miles of freeway were a slog. Good helmet music and no small amount of muscle pain kept me alert, however.
I should make an effort to take photos during the event, or at least before the moving truck turns up to break down the checkpoint, but here's my #motorcycle and a colleague's Royal Enfield Scram out on the west side of the Coast Range.
