John Nisbet's impressive 1906 Camphill Gate Tenement on Pollokshaws Road in Glasgow. The owners have done a huge amount of work to conserve this tenement, and it would be great to see this complimented by some period-appropriate signage on the retail spaces on the ground floor.

Camphill Gate on Pollokshaws Road in Glasgow. Built in 1906, it was designed by John Nisbet. Unusually for a Glasgow tenement it has five storeys rather than four, and a roof terrace offering magnificent views across the city, and out into the countryside beyond.

The Glasgow Doors Open Day Festival this weekend provided the oportunity to check out the roof terrace on the 1906 Camphill Gate tenement building on Pollokshaws Road. The views arcoss the south and west of the city did not disappoint!

The impressive Camphill Gate Tenement on Pollokshaws Road in Glasgow. The railings along the top reveal the existence of a feature you cannot see from ground level: A rooftop drying green/garden, from which you can see across the city and out as far as Ben Lomond (on a clear day, at any rate).
