Main door to the former Printing Works on Darnley Street in the Pollokshields area of Glasgow. Designed by D.B. Dobson and built in 1902, the snake-headed hinges at the bottom of the door are a particularly nice touch.

By far my favourite bit of architectural ironwork in Glasgow, and possibly anywhere in the world! It can be found on D.B. Dobson's 1902 Art Nouveau commercial building at 50 Darnley Street in Glasgow.

I love this building on Albert Drive in the Pollokshields area of Glasgow, not just for its design, which is great, but because it was home to the wonderfully-named Glasgow Steam Laundry and Carpet Beating Works. Built around 1895, this is a reminder of the days when, if you could afford carpets, you'd regularly send them out to be cleaned!

A section of Pollokshields Burgh Halls in Glasgow. Designed by H.E. Clifford in a Scots Renaissance style, it was built in 1890. I love all the different shapes which have been used to create not just the roofline, but also the facade below.

The wonderfully crafted stained glass portraits of Art, Music and Literature (each of which features in their own window) in the 1890s Pollokshields Burgh Halls on the Southside of Glasgow.

A stained glass City of Glasgow coat of arms in an extension to the 1890 Pollokshields Burgh Halls. This extension was added in 1935, by which point Pollokshields had been incorporated into the neighbouring city. I particularly like the colours used for the fish, and for St Mungo's robes.

Somersby on Dalziel Drive on the Southside of Glasgow. Designed by H.E Clifford in a Scots Baronial type style, it was build in 1902 for William T. Geddes, the Glasgow oil and produce broker.

The wonderful decorative brass door handles in the 1890s Pollokshields Burgh Hall on the Southside of Glasgow. They're in the form of guardians placed there protect you as you enter and leave the building.
