@superflippy @chrismessina @IceCubesApp

love @IceCubesApp, but definitely agree. It becomes cumbersome to always type out the #Hashtags, with capitals instead of accepting lowercase suggestions.

As there is much push for ALT text, as much value is in #CamelCaps (as I know them), because they are read the correct way by #ScreenReaders…

(and this post demonstrates, how I like to utilize hashtags… ;-)

#Mastodon, #MastodonUpgrade

Hey there, #CamelCaps
Reading off the screen so fancy free!
@rivetgeek and convention here is to #CamelCaps them to make it better for screenreaders.
#CamelCaps are accessibility best practice as they're more readable for screen readers and to the eye. However, the strongest use case is that time Susan Boyle released an album and her publicists used the hashtag "sus anal bum party"
Having just written another pile of hashtags in #CamelCaps, which are rumored to benefit screen readers, maybe someone can answer this question: Is there any #Android phone #ui that has figured out a way to implement "capitalize previous letter" and "lowercase previous letter" as an easy One Touch operation?
Using voice to text on the phone creates a jumble of uncapitalized proper nouns and unwanted (brand name?) capitalizations, like the words "one touch" in the previous sentence.

@sky great idea!

Unlisted tags
Tags are searchable. I just found a #talkingheads video I posted by searching it's tag, but if other people use the tags, you'll have to scroll a long time to find your stuff, so make unique tags like #2RosQ for your own collections. Remember Fediverse tags don't have spaces, and should be written in #camelCaps ( lowercase for the first word. Capitalize the beginning of each new word).

@yuki2501 And don’t forget to #CamelCaps those #HashTags
@Tam5 #camelCase or #camelCaps as it is known in the business πŸ˜‰
@KarenWyld what are #CamelCaps πŸ€·πŸΌβ€β™€οΈ
@ash excellent time to remind everyone to #CamelCaps their tags though!
