Weiß eigtl jemand, was mit CalyxOS passiert ist? Entwickeln die noch oder ist die angekündigte Pause von letztem Jahr nun zu einem Ende von CalyxOS geworden?
Wenn das Projekt gestorben ist, fände ich das extrem schade, weil ich das OS auf meinem Phone wirklich sehr mag, gerade was die Oberfläche und die Bedienbarkeit angeht. Dann muss ich mich langsam um ein neues Betriebssystem für mein Phone kümmern, worauf ich gar keine Lust habe. 😕

Est-ce que #calyxos est mort ? Y'a 8 mois en août, une lettre à la communauté annonçait un changement dans l'équipe lead avec, notamment le départ de Nicholas Merrill, fondateur du projet. En conséquence, les mises à jour étaient mises en pause le temps de procéder aux changements de clé de signature, transfert des droits, toussa, ok. Mi-décembre il était annoncé qu'on était sur la fin de la procédure et que les màj allaient reprendre…

Sauf qu'on est 2 mois plus tard et tjrs rien…

@bammerlaan @richarddebruin microG doesn't run on GrapheneOS. I recommend #CalyxOS (hope it comes back soon)

howto make #e_OS usable:
replace follofing apps:
default Mail App -> #Thunderbird or #K9Mail
AOSP Keyboard -> #FUTOKeyboard or #Heliboard
default unusable launcher -> #Lawnchair
default Calendar App -> #fossifyCalendar
default Tasks App -> #jtxBoard
default weather app -> #breezyweather
Maps -> #CoMaps

and its still not as good as #calyxos, I miss you :(

I got calyxos on my pixel 3a (sargo) back when it was supported. I want to get it on another pixel 3a, even tho it’s no longer supported. I understand that I’m missing security updates. I heard xda forums might have it but I somehow can’t find a search bar.

Been monitoring various non-Google-oriented phones as a gift for someone special, and I'm currently eying either an /e/ OS phone, GraphineOS, or CalyxOS.
All three seem like something that'd be feasible for someone who isn't super tech-literate while diving into an open source mobile ecosystem.
