#Asheville Police Department's #Flock #ALPR cameras feed into #Buncombe county's surveillance network provided by #Fusus.

APD has 5 Flock cameras currently, but private companies can by their own cameras (Flock or other surveillance cameras) and connect their feeds into the county's Fusus system for all the little piggies to watch. There are already many privately-operated Flock cameras in the area.

Learn what they look like, keep an eye out for them, and add them to the map! It's fun and easy! Sometimes you can find them on Google Streetview. Here's how you can add them to the map:

HCA is the group that when challenged about the standard of care in our community after their purchase, stated that they "had never committed to providing quality care." I still want that on a billboard.

"The National Weather Service is advising that strong to severe thunderstorms with damaging wind gusts, hail, and isolated tornadoes are possible for our area tonight after 11 p.m., with the highest risk in Western #Buncombe County. Not every place will see a storm, but if one does occur, have multiple ways of receiving a warning. Make a plan, charge devices in case of power outages, keep a weather radio handy, and listen for alerts. Though general weakening of storms is likely, timely weather information can make a big difference, and preparedness is always a good decision. "

"The National Weather Service is advising that the majority of #Buncombe County will receive approximately 2 inches of rain through 8 p.m. Tues. In eastern Buncombe County, that accumulation could be closer to 3 inches. The NWS advises that three inches or more of rain could initiate landslides on modified or developed slopes. Additional impacts include elevated lightning risks, especially in the southern and eastern parts of the county, along with fog in the east. This weather event is not predicted to have impacts like Helene, but nuisance flooding is possible. Remember - never drive through flooded roadways. "
