This is called a professional streetbroom in The Netherlands.
Never thought about that, while I had my share of brooms to handle.
Neither do I know the difference between this professional broom or an amateur-broom.

Brooms like this in The Netherlands are usually called "witch-broom". Most in the cities. People living on farms, places where small pieces of stone, wood , coal, litter from the garden and other are on the groundfloor will know the use of it better.

They are very handy !
