It’s #familyDay here in Ottawa so here’s a #Redesign of mom’s dress from the 80s updated for a 2022 bride.
It mostly fit in the bodice and some reshaping of the skirt still maintained the original pleats at the waistline.
The opening up of the neckline and shortening of the sleeves really made it suit her.

The skirt is bias cut woven fabric and the lining is lightweight knit.
The bottom is what arrived in my studio this morning after a desperate phone call I had with the client last night. #sewing #alterations
