Infine, l'ultimo capitolo è dedicato al tema della fiducia dei cittadini verso le istituzioni, la politica e la scienza medica, che gli atti, i comportamenti e le dichiarazioni pubbliche rese in quel periodo hanno contribuito a minare.

The values documented in the book are five. The first concerns the pandemic regulatory framework:
The second concerns the green pass: the author highlights how the Italian version of the European digital certificate went beyond what was permitted by EU regulations 2021/953 and 2021/954, which explicitly excluded the use of the document as a condition for access to work or social life. The third point concerns the effective mandatory vaccination: through the suspension of wages for workers without a green pass, the State introduced an indirect obligation without assuming its legal and compensation responsibilities. The examination of the concept of vaccine experimentalism and the authorization process is fundamental. The fourth node is the military support to Ukraine which is compared with the support to Israel in the war in Gaza and against Iran.
Finally, the last chapter is dedicated to the theme of citizens’ trust in institutions, politics, and medical science, which the actions, behaviors, and public statements made during that period contributed to undermine.

This has happened before when the large chain, which *promised* not to open a smaller branch near an existing Indie Bookshop, tried to do so in Edinburgh's Stockbridge, only to face a barrage of criticism as it was close to the excellent Golden Hare Bookshop (they claimed they hadn't realised this and did eventually withdraw plans). Now this.
