As long as your capture card or webcam uses MJPEG over USB2, you're having an image quality bottleneck elsewhere. In case you are using a camera with an HDMI output, the old h264 encoder in the #Blackmagic #AtemMiniPro will probably always outperform AV1 in terms of quality. As soon as you use the Atem Mini in webcam mode via USB to feed #OBS, you're going #MJPEG again!
To my knowledge, there are no standalone AV1 stream encoders yet. So if you want to use praised AV1, you have to get a Blackmagic #UltraStudio PCIe card (comes with #Linux drivers) to get uncompressed raw video into your OBS. Or, some real USB3 capture device that does not use MJPEG, but the product description on Amazon won't tell you, because normal users can't be bothered with this level of detail, can they…

Almost. The installer does not work. But when copied from a Windows machine, the result of the installation does work.
The Osee GoStream Deck is an Alternative to the #Blackmagic #AtemMiniPRO… or tries to be.
Actually it can be operated 100% without PC remote control, which is a huge benefit over the Atem series. But even the latest firmware isn't as quite there yet… it needs some heavy testing before this might go into production use.
Another benefit of this thing is that it has that second HDMI output which the Atem is missing and with the Macro buttons this could even be used as a pseudo AUX bus. Two stills players are available plus one video player plus a super source, and it streams to 2 platforms and records standalone to SD Card. I Currently for 335€ on Amazon Germany.
But as said, I don't trust this thing yet.
