The money I had in my crypto wallet was just more than the amount I needed to buy all the internal CPU, memory, SSD etc for my new computer, and Newegg uses Bitpay, so... I'm out of the crypto world, and the $1200 for the computer innards won't be showing up on my credit card. I lost about $800 on it, but I'd written that money off long ago. #bitpay #ethereum

Russian And Kazakhstani Men Indicted For Running Dark Web Criminal Marketplaces, Forums, And Trainings

Tampa, Florida – United States Attorney Roger B. Handberg announces the return of an indictment charging Alex Khodyrev (35, Kazakhstan) and Pavel Kublitskii (37, Russia) with conspiracy to commit access device fraud and conspiracy to commit wire fraud. If convicted on all counts, each faces a maximum penalty of 20 years in federal prison. The indictment also notifies Khodyrev and Kublitskii that the United States intends to forfeit Khodyrev’s 2023 Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG sport utility vehicle and Kublitskii’s 2020 Cadillac CT5 Sport sedan, both of which are alleged to be traceable to proceeds of the offenses.

Eventually they did a deal. Benny Johnson would (unknowingly) work for the Russians for $400,000 a month in exchange for 4 monthly videos. Plus a 100k signing bonus. Pool also agreed 100k a video but no bonus. Weak negotiating skills.

I did eventually get my transaction to go through by selecting a hardware wallet so they'd give me a crypto address.

#BitPay tried to make it easy to make a payment with all these integrations, but they ended up becoming a hurdle.
