One thing I love with Mastodon on a bigger-than-phone screen is the "Advanced Web Interface" (enable it in ⚙️Settings > Preferences > Appearance) which gives multiple columns (like Tweetdeck) and you can set a hashtag or group of them for a column.

My current columns are: 🏠 Home; 🔔 Notifications, #boardgames, #sewing, and #birbposting + #birbs +#birb.

It's a great way to see interesting/inspiring/pretty things and engage with the wider Fediverse community. 🙂
