Ok, I'm home, showered, fed and ready to share more photos.
The North Sask is so beautiful just west of the city! Parts of it are almost canyon-like with the tall cliffs lining either side.
Lots of wildlife, too, including moose, tons of beavers, lots of bald eagles, and more.

Finally doing my overnight bikepackrafting trip! Still making my way to the park where I'll put in, needing breaks for my unhappy legs. Will be nice to switch to boat mode!

I love how quickly you can go from feeling like being in the middle of nowhere and then BAM! City again.
Bikerafting: riding a bike while carrying a packraft (inflatable boat), and paddling in the packraft while carrying the bike... and a tent, and a camping stove...

I do! A Kokopelli Twain. It's a larger model of packraft, but still packs down to about 16" x 10". They come in much smaller models, too, but even this one is very good for #BikeRafting
(That said, I'm actually mulling buying a smaller model that weighs less and would be better for #BikePacking trips)

Nice day for a #BikeRafting outing in #yeg. Nice to meet up with a couple of fellow #PaddlePedal folks.
Saw lots of wildlife, including a skunk on the way to the dock (in an urban area), a coyote trying to find its way to some cliff swallow nests, and a bald eagle near Riverdale.
It looks like some #yeg folks are doing a #BikeRafting outing on Sunday, July 9 at 10:00 AM from Laurier Boat Launch.
Not sure yet if I'll be able to join, but thought I'd share for other folks who might be interested.
EDIT: Looks like I'll probably be able to make it after all!
