A post documenting the installation of Pino's new water tank and galley cabinet ^^
Oh gosh, this project in #theBoatyard took all winter: I finally finished the cabin walls.
To do this, I had to remove the glue of the vinyl liner from the GRP, sand it, fair it, sand it again, paint primer and finally varnish it.
In the picture it looks spacious, but it was a real game of boat yoga, the-walls-are-lava and twister with the centerboard case.
The canvas aboard Pino is very old, thin and discolored, we've started replacing some of it.
A few days ago we replaced the flap that goes over the companionway doors. You can see the color difference between it and the fabric on the far-left side.
It was our first time putting in dome snaps ^^... (edit: 2nd time, i just forgot about the 1st ^^)
One week and two weekends prep. Finally the first coat down. I must say that I’m fine so far with the color and the varnish.
Hey #Boativerse ! Looking for a welder around E5 on the Lea for a small but critical job overplating the chimney hole in my roof, which is oversized, corroded, and preventing the install of a new wood burner. Thanks for any leads 🙌

Sicily, six years ago. Covid lockdown in effect. Our friend got trapped ashore, living on his boat atop a ladder, work unfinished and unable to launch, even if there had been a crane operator.
The boatyard workers gave him the key to the gate and told him they were shutting down until further notice, good luck and by the way there's no running water.
They left him "Merkel" the boatyard dog, too.
The most expensive dumbell in the world..
We've taken off the forestay yesterday, we'll take it all apart, have a new stay made and try to put the whole thing back together without breaking anything.
I'm so done going up the mast when its only partly stayed, it's harrowing af
