As always, LA Metro was extra lively for #BikeDay 🚲

My 16 year old Scott Scale 60 aluminum mountain bike has served me well today. My calves however (end of summer) were almost about to fail and on the verge of cramping ;)
A view breaks more and a slower pace on the last kilometers helped me to reach the top of the mountain pass. The descent was cold. Luckily I had a change of clothes and long gloves with me.

Today was Stelvio Bike day as every year at the end of august. I participated in the bikeday about ten times. I didn't want to skip it this year, but I had to pull myself together because I was a bit tired. Approx. 1750hm and 22km on the rise. Including breaks, it took me about 3 hours in total to arrive to the peak height.
I was faster in the past. But the fun and the view were the main focus today. It was cold at the top of the pass though.

this combination saved the situation in which I found myself during yesterday's bike service. the screw from the crank arm was baked so that it was impossible to unscrew it with an allen key or a torx key.
