"Nos negamos a rendirnos"

Rojhilat Afrin, la Comandante General de las Unidades de Protección de la Mujer (YPJ), que asistió a la reunión de ayer en Damasco entre el Comandante General de las Fuerzas Democráticas Sirias, Mazloum Abdi, y Ahmed al-Sharaa, declaró: "Nos dijeron: 'Evacuen Hesekê y Kobanê inmediatamente, entreguen sus armas y únanse al ejército individualmente'. Querían presentar esto como una realidad establecida, y estaba claro que había sido planeado con antelación. Pero no aceptamos esta demanda de rendición".

Finished reading this yesterday. I cried maybe 5 times. #zerocalcare has a talent for bringing up little details as odd observations then circling back to them later with further context that is emotional and powerful. Highly recommend.

German tank manufacturers want to improve german tanks used by the turkish army. The german foreign ministry seems to support this efforts to free a jailed german journalist that does not want to be part of such a deal. There are reports stating Turkey used such tanks in northern Syria in 2016/17 against YPG/J forces at the Syria/Turkey border.
