I've been crying a lot this week. I cried when the judge dismissed my coworkers felony record the day before his baby shower. I cried a lot when I read the prairieland federal verdicts. I cried when I read the letters a local pastor sent for our clients sentence commutation efforts. I cried when I got off the phone with a client in prison after telling him how his letter writing event went. I cried when I read that Leqaa Kordia was finally released from ICE custody. It's been a roller coaster of happy tears and bitter ones.
