I haven't played Minecraft since 2021, so I didn't realize until today that my purchase of the game got nuked because the period for Mojang-to-Microsoft account migration has ended. Oops. If my understanding is correct, I would need to pay another $30 just to play Minecraft again via official means, even though I can still log into my account that I've had for 10 years now. That is BS, and I will not be giving Microsoft money for that scummy move 😡

Not exactly #stopkillinggames, but this is in the same vein I believe.

Interesting conundrum at my house.

I've had Google based cameras here for a few years.

I ordered a more local solution a few weeks ago to break free of big tech more or less for testing purposes.

The Google cameras are now reporting randomly that they have no Internet access even though there seems to be no reason for it. They are on the network, pingable, and other devices are chugging along just fine.

I hate to sound like a conspiracy theorist, but this seems to be very odd.

I guess local control is going to be moved up in the priority list. Like a certain Orange Turd didn't already spin the wheels in that direction.

Finally got to have the conversation with one of my neighbors that my Facebook account is done and ain't coming back. And like a neanderthal I had to provide a phone number to contact me.

Hoping I don't wind up being an edge case and we move onto better things. Big tech has their hooks into too much now and President Musk is trying to make it worse.
