I went down a rabbit hole after watching #Oppenheimer, and got around to read #BarefootGen. I resisted reading it before because of the art style but now I HIGHLY ENCOURAGE people to read it.

It is unapologetic, no allegiance to any country, no sugar coating the effects of #atomicbomb even years after it dropped. It just focuses on the civilian suffering, but at the same time it's uplifting and hopeful.

I would say it is essential reading on the same level as #Maus.
