It took me only about 20 minutes to pick up this mostly plastic trash along the Atlantic coastline about 20 miles from Key West. I’ll clean up the rope and use it on my boat and kayak and recycle a few clean plastic bottles but mostly it’s trash. #humans #plasticwaste #plastic #banplastic #saveouroceans #SaveOurPlanet #BigOil #keepitintheground

Had a nice time with friends cleaning up other people’s garbage on Ship Creek Rd in #PortAlberni. We removed about 10-12 large garbage bags full of stuff. From cigarette butts to beer bottles, plastic cups to diapers, the remains of car bumpers to old clothes. It’s gross, but it feels good to make a small difference at least. Some of it had obviously been there for years. Other stuff was much fresher. The skunk cabbage and trilliums were beautiful though.
