Adding @hachyderm
Could you please explain/address your policy on filtering/hiding user profiles in previews? Especially for accunts that I am already following. This seems, to me, to be new behaviour.

Here is an example for a profile I follow from mastodon.social:
I would like to know why the hachyderm moderators decided to start filtering user profiles from other instances. Is this an accident? Is there a documented policy? Is it by instance?
Did the mods accidentally select an incorrect button to filter innocuous content?
Why are the hachyderm.io moderators hiding profile previews from other instances?
In the last week or so, I've had a dozen or so profiles of users that I follow hidden and I have to go through steps to select an option to view them.
Seems unnecessarily censorious. And stupid.
If I follow thse users, I also want to see their profiles when I hover over them.
Is there a checkbox in the new Mastodon settings that I need to opt into?
When creating an account, if the wrong email address was used, does the user need to start over, or is there a way of contacting someone to fix the typo?
Do I need to create a GitHub account?
I recall being able to see the number of signed-up users (and similar stats) for a given Mastodon instance, but I don't recall how or where I was able to get that information.

This just happened when I did a search in the Mastodon PWA:
Until now I had seen no posts being returned but this morning, I see an explicit note that search for posts is not supported on Hachyderm.
It helps if posts include #askHachyderm if they have questions about Hachyderm or questions relevant to Hachyderm users, instead of mentioning the Hachyderm user and all replies spamming them, or including hashtag askMastodon and blasting the post/question to more users than necessary.
BTW I'm taking the credit for the hashtag if it catches on. AFAIK I'm the first to use that tag, at least according to text search on Hachyderm. π
