I have no idea why anyone would want to do this.
1. Take a ubiquitous, shitty typeface.
2. Select one of its many versions. (There’s more than one? Who knew?)
3. Design a new typeface so similar to the first “that you can’t really spot a difference. Looking at Arial and Areal should feel like refreshing a browser page. It’s the same, but it isn’t.”
Well, they succeeded on point 3.
Arial is a knockoff of Helvetica. Areal is a knockoff of a knockoff. 🤷♂️

Musste auf Helvetica umstellen, weil das Paket #uarial wohl aus #CTAN geflogen ist. 😭🙈
