Das Wort, das Du suchst, lautet „Kulturimperialismus“.
Wobei eins nicht vergessen sollte, dass „unser“ (das, naja, westliche) Schriftsystem eben nicht auf unserem Mist gewachsen ist, sondern sehr tiefe, lange Wurzeln und Verwandtschaften in richtig alten Schriftsystemen hat. Die Tafel unten zeigt davon nur einen kleinen Ausschnitt und nur moderne Versalien – Minuskeln haben nochmal ne eigene Geschichte.

Dein Nachsatz ist allerdings sehr wahr. Ich empfehle einen Blick auf aktuelles TeX in diesem Zusammenhang. #TeXLaTeX #ConTeXt
