It’s nearly the end of the season and I haven’t been to any minor league games this season! Time to fix that.

Next week, my plan is to hit each of the Ohio based Cleveland Guardians teams. This is something I’ve usually done in June or July, but scheduling didn’t work out for this season. Fortunately, teams like the Lake County Captains and the Akron RubberDucks are making the playoffs, so their seasons are extending, giving me the chance to get to each of the teams in just a week’s time at the end of their respective seasons.

The schedule:

• Sunday, September 8 – Columbus Clippers vs. Durham Bulls
• Wednesday, September 11 – Akron RubberDucks vs. Hartford Yard Goats
• Thursday, September 12 – Lake County Captains Division Series Game 2 (opponent TBD)
• Sunday, September 15 – Cleveland Guardians vs. Tampa Bay Rays

I’ll be doing a new format for my baseball tours starting next season, plus I’ll do a better job of planning what games I’ll go to, but that’s for 2025. I’m looking forward to enjoying some great baseball in September.

Continuing my #3dprinting of the logos of my favorite teams, the next installment is the #Akron Rubber Ducks minor league baseball team. When I bought the hat last year, I knew I needed to do something with the logo because it really pops.

I fired up #inkscape to make a SVG and #freecad to make the model from that SVG. It took a little planning on the heights for the different colors since I only have one extruder. Turned out great!
