FionnáinI spent this evening painting gorse thorns with tempera paint made with the ashes of burned drawings of gorse bushes that were drawn in charcoal made from gorse branches.

Using fire as part of a cycle of creation, I have changed the form of these drawings again.

This was part of the international research project investigating wildfires called FIRECULT. For the project, I created charcoal and made new drawings, made work with fire, and created two new video artworks.
