Though when are we going to work on the amenities at the #Tacoma and #Seattle stations? Making these into proper destinations in and of themselves would go a long way to making the service feel more comfortable and convenient.

US #HighSpeedRail has a lot of fans in the fediverse #urbanism community, but IMO, maintenance of our existing conventional rail #transportation network is ultimately of far greater importance to the health of the nation and economy.

It does the heart good to read about the major #infrastructure improvements that are being made, while I wait for #Amtrak to finish building the first level-boarding platform and properly new stationhouse in #Vermont. #Airo trains in 2025!
